How we vet installers
Every installer is checked before we pass on a single enquiry. Here's exactly what we look for.

Our checks
Six things every installer has to pass before we send them a single enquiry.
MCS certification. We check the installer on the MCS register. You need an MCS install to be paid for exported electricity through the Smart Export Guarantee.
Consumer code membership. They must belong to a CTSI-approved consumer code, such as RECC or HIES, which covers deposits and complaints.
Insurance. Proof of public liability insurance and an insurance-backed workmanship warranty.
Reviews. We read independent reviews and look for patterns, good and bad.
Written quotes. A written, itemised quote after a survey, never a figure over the phone.
No pressure selling. No "today only" prices or high-pressure tactics.
If something goes wrong
Tell us using our contact form.
We follow up every complaint, and we stop working with any installer who doesn't treat customers fairly.

Our guide on how to choose a solar installer covers the questions to ask and the red flags to watch for, and our quote checklist helps you compare prices.
